Skating in a Winter Wonderland + WIN a Family Pass

YORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDLast week we visited Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland at McArthur Glen with the kids and it pushed us over the Christmas edge.. we actually decorated our tree the next day! I was there to promote some Black Friday offers but we squeezed in a little skating first and Milo was beside himself with excitement. I hadn't realised that he'd never been before and so was a little nervous that he may not take to it but he loved it! Even when he was slipping and sliding all over the shop, he loved it.YORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDYORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDYORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDMy 'secret second child' also got in on the action but is 12 and way too cool to be on her Mums blog. She's of that age where her friends are going skating at the weekends and she's never been uber confident on the ice before but by the end of the session she was doing laps on her own.. big deal when you're 12! Lee and I both mispent our youths (that sentence just doesn't look right but I'm going with it) at our local rink, I even took lessons for a minute so now we know the big one has a little confidence and the small one has no fear at all we may have to make this a more regular family activity.YORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDYORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDYORKSHIRE WINTER WONDERLANDAside from the skating, Winter Wonderand has fair rides, a Santa's Grotto and a gorgeous ski lodge-style cafe where the kids (and Lee) indulged in hot chocolates and I may have partaken in a Prosecco. Very festive ;)
