The £4 Must Have Concealer + 4 AMAZING, Affordable Palettes

REVOLUTION CONCEAL AND DEFINE REVIEW SWATCHESI don't know why I'm even writing this, I know you've heard all about it, you're probably bored of hearing about it but now I've put it through its paces I'm sharing my thoughts anyway. The 18 shade strong Conceal & Define launch had the beauty world 'shook' (I'm trying to bring in a younger audience, stay with me) earlier this month and not a day goes by without a new 'big time' YouTuber raving about the formula.. but is it really all that? I fell for the Fenty hype and just wasn't all that impressed with the foundation itself. So is this another sub par product that's receiving acclaim solely for the diverse colour options? No. No, it's not.IMG_2710I've tried this blended out as foundation, I've tried it layered in a rather bizarre attempt at 'contouring' and I've used it sparingly to brighten up those 'up-til-5am-with-a-poorly-6-year-old' eyes and it has performed every time. It never feels heavy, never looks cakey and it lasts. People are obviously going gaga for the shade range (as they did with Fenty) but taking that out of the mix, this is just good stuff. I went off the infamous Collection concealer some time ago because it was just too drying for my no-longer-teenage skin and if you're looking for a replacement, this might be it. It's creamier but not so creamy you end up with stripes under your eyes before you've even finished your makeup.REVOLUTION RE-LOADED PALETTESAnother £4 launch from Revolution this month was their 'Reloaded' palettes. I absolutely love the concept behind these. The brand made a name for themselves by offering low cost alternatives to expensive beauty products, showing that it was possible to create great value makeup without skimping on quality. In recent years they've strayed a little from that, launching slightly pricier palettes so it's nice to see them paying tribute to their roots. As well as testing the concealers, I tried out a look with each of the palettes in this video so you can see them in action there as well as some swatches below. They are incredibly pigmented for the money, really beautiful on any budget actually but the packaging does leave a little to be desired. It's flimsy and easily broken, however the idea was to launch a collection of palettes that were very affordable. If you want more substantial packaging (or a mirror, I really missed the mirror) there are other palettes available for a little more money that solve those minor issues. If you're looking to add to your collection or you're just starting out with shadow and don't have a lot to spend, you're not going to be disappointed with the quality of the product.REVOLUTION RE-LOADED PALETTES SWATCHESREVOLUTION RE-LOADED PALETTES SWATCHESREVOLUTION RE-LOADED PALETTES SWATCHESREVOLUTION RE-LOADED PALETTES SWATCHES
