It's Britney B*tch

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Sequin OutfitThe comments I received on yesterdays post were unexpected and many! I really did just need to vent and so the response was amazing. We all have bad days but when you're on holiday (wherever it might be) you don't feel like you should be complaining. The pressure is on to have a good time and sometimes that really works against you. Last night was definitely a turn around, though. The kids napped in the afternoon so by the evening they were perky for the show and although of course we didn't book Britney 'for them' they both claim to have enjoyed it. Maybe it's not what you would do (and I did wrestle with it myself) but if you've ever been to a show in Vegas you know how huge a difference there is between that and an arena tour and this was our last opportunity to see her before her residency ends. Plus in years to come the kids will be able to say they saw that old icon in Vegas before they were removed from our care. IMG_1535When in doubt, wear sequins! I had to get in an outing for the sequined trousers while we were here and Britney seemed like the perfect excuse. I always have a hard time with footwear though, I wanted comfort but don't think I'm quite cool enough for converse and sequins so I opted for these 2 part SJP sparklers. My most worn heels because they are so much more comfortable than most I own and they are made of a magical glittery fabric called 'Glow' which has genuinely picked me up when I've been feeling down on many occasions. Legit happy shoes. Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Sequin OutfitThe most awesome thing that happened during the concert was that we were moved from our assigned seats at the very back (literally next to the wall) to seats on the 4th row. I assume they do this so they performers don't see empty seats but who cares why? Vegas arena's are pretty small anyway so if you're looking to book a show and are worried about seating, don't be. We always book the cheapest tickets we can find because even the back of the room is a better view than you'd pay top dollar for in most stadiums but the last-minute upgrade was very welcome!  I took approximately 1 million photos but here's a slide show of the highlights..
