Kiko Modern Tribes

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI'm a total sucker for product packaging and the new Modern Tribes collection from Kiko just hits that spot at a more affordable price than your average. I've tried bits and bobs from Kiko but not all that much, from what I gather the prices range massively so there's something for every budget within the one brand. I was set a few items from the new launch to test out, the Sunproof powder foundation (in light)  is the most interesting. It can be used wet and dries to a matte finish so is ideal for oilier skins. I struggle with powder foundations and this can still be a little cakey (I think practice will make perfect here) but it's definitely one of the nicest finishes I've achieved and the fact it can be applied with the sponge provided rather than needing another brush makes it perfect for on the go touch ups.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe colour cosmetics from the new range are fairly standard 'summer shades' but the creamy kajal pencil liner in Turquoise is beautiful to blend and stays put relatively well. The lip/cheek pencil (in Supreme Guava) I'm less enthusiastic about but I can see why it is the way it is. Most lip/cheek products are really too sticky/creamy for the face but ideal for the lips.. I think this was designed more as a cream to powder blush stick. Great packaging if that's what you're going to use it for but I found it tough to blend after applying it from a crayon. On my lips it was super dry, I like a matte pencil as much (if not more) than the next person but this felt chalky.. with a gloss/balm over top it might work better and I will persevere as it's such a gorgeous shade but it was a bit of a miss for me.

There are some other bits and pieces from the Modern Tribes line I'd love to try, the Baked Blush looks AMAZING!! but you can check it all out here. Are there any products you would recommend from Kiko?
