MAC Stereo Rose Dupe?!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI wasn't even looking for this but having recently raved about Stereo Rose in a video as one of the few higher end items I think is really worth the extra cash I'm excited to have found a cheaper alternative. It's still on the more expensive side for 'drugstore' brands but given that Stereo Rose is not only pricey but tough to find on I'd say it's still worth mentioning.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI'm not 100% sure what this Soap & Glory Product is called as the packaging suggests multiple names but it's something between Multi-Colour Blush Brick, Peach Party and Apricot Jam. Either way it's very pretty and gives a gorgeous glow which in itself is lovely but compared to the MAC counterpart it's not difficult to see why I think they're similar. Stereo Rose is baked so it has that marbled finish that combines multiple tones, Peach Party is in segments but it achieves almost the same effect. I've swatched different sections of the Soap & Glory  blush to show you how you could adjust it to your preference (these aren't swatches of the individual segments but different combinations of them) the only one I'd avoid if you don't like that high gleam shimmer is the bronze, that alone is almost metallic.. eyeshadow territory really.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn the whole the Blush Brick is frostier but it still gives a pretty sheen so long as you don't over do it. I find the MAC to be much more subtle so I can pile that on with my usual 7am abandon but I have to be a little more careful with this one. Not a bad thing as it will likely last me longer for it but just a warning.. you can be VERY glowy, fast! I'm not saying I'll be doing away with my beloved Stereo Rose any time soon but given that it IS llimited edition I think I'll be substituting the Soap & Glory until I know I can get my hands on a back up ;)
