Travel Beauty / Las Vegas Edit

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis bag is ever changing and may well change before I finally pack it in my suitcase (or packed as it were.. I'm already on holiday now but writing in advance) however I thought I would share what my current edit is. It's quite possible I've forgotten a bunch of stuff and some things are in with my inflight makeup bag (that's ANOTHER post) but here's what I'm planning to take with me right now..

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAStarting with toiletries.. This is pretty bare for a couple of reasons, 1. I really don't NEED as many things as my bedside table would let you believe and 2. I will likely BUY a few things while I'm there so sun cream, body lotion etc can be purchased cheaply and left in the hotel to save space in my case. I am taking this full size Vichy After Sun because I've had it for too long now and it needs using up.. plus when am I ever going to have the opportunity in the UK? Exactly! Otherwise I stuck to minis/samples.

Moroccan Oil Shampoo/Conditioner - I haven't used these before but they were recommended by the hairdresser that fitted my extensions (another post, again) and I had these minis so they're coming along. / Batiste - My all time fave and necessary essential if I'm to put off washing daily in the Vegas heat, I also have a new non-aerosol dry shampoo I'm trialling from Swell that I MIGHT switch this for if I'm sold on it before we leave. Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturiser - My all time favourite spot treatment, I don't use it as a moisituriser but a dollop on a developing spot for a few hours makes the world of difference! Balance Me Balm Cleanser - Pricey but one of the best cleansers to leave your skin feeling clean but soothed. I assume I will suffer some dryness in the desert so I'm hoping anything with oils etc will help. On that tack I have a mini Divine Oil from Caudalie - it's a dry oil and good for face, hair and body so I would imagine I will use it for all 3 at some point. Toothpaste because.. well.. teeth. Sisley Black Rose Mask - this tiny sample size has been burning a hole in my beauty drawer, it's uber expensive full size and I've heard great things so I'm saving it in case of a skin emergency while we're away.  Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation - Claims to repair damage which I'll need with the sun exposure but it just leaves my skin feeling really silky. Very light and nice layered over a serum/oil. Lastly La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm because it cures all ails. From uber dry skin to sunburn it works fast and I wouldn't travel without it.

Like I said there are obvious things missing, eye cream and lip balm to name two but they're coming with me on the plane. These are the additional toiletries I plan to pack in my checked luggage.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERANext up, makeup. All pretty self explanatory all but for the nail strips perhaps.. they're still a maybe as I'm painting my nails pre-flight but not sure I'll want to be painting them while I'm away so reckon I could pick up some quick remover wipes and redo them with strips as necessary. These are the Sally Hansen ones, usually quite pricey but I picked them up fro £1.99 in a local cheap makeup shop.. are they discontinued? They had some really nice colour options so maybe..

MAC Quad - Naked Lunch, Satin Taupe, Tete A Tint, Wedge / NARS Blush in Orgasm (if it wasn't so massive this would be MAC Stereo Rose in a heart beat - I'm worried about it breaking in transit) / Maybelline Superstay Powder / The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer / Estee Lauder Double Wear Light (oxidises on me but best for wear time) / Gosh Primer Powder (this helps with the oil/oxidising situation) / La Roche Posay Factor 50 Face Protection / The Balm Schwing Liquid Liner / Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara / Makeup Revolution All Day & Night Liner in One Sin Too Many / Beauty Blender / Tweezers / Helen E Stage Shadow Primer

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATravel bag is from the Java Place Manuela  from Kate Spade - I would NEVER have spent that much on something like this but I had a gift card that pretty much covered it and they didn't have what I actually went in for ;)

I haven't included brushes as I just can't narrow it down. It will be a last minute decision but if you'd like an update on what I took/used let me know. I am definitely taking my beauty blender as I love it but it's a pain taking it to a tap every time so assuming I'll be getting ready in the bathroom I'm pretty excited about getting some daily use from it. Otherwise that's it! I feel like as a beauty blogger you lose perspective of what's a normal amount of makeup but I think this is relatively condensed.. bare in mind I haven't even thought about lipstick yet lol.. that will again be a last minute 'throw them in a bag' situation.. so many choices... Maybe I'll do a FOTD when I'm out there and show you what I end up wearing on the regular..

Eeek! I know in real time I'm already there but in my current time I'm getting pretty darn excited. What are you bear essentials for holiday makeup/toiletries?
